The Kyoto Protocol was framed for the purpose of environmental protection from global warming.

Kyoto protocol was adopted in Kyoto, Japan on 11 December 1997 and came in force on 16 February 2005.ratified in Japan as a famous international treaty which extends the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC).

This is for the purpose of commitment by different countries of the world to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

This emission regulation was based on the scientific consensus that global warming is a consequence of human-made CO2 emissions predominantly.
