The evaporation process is quite simple and is similar everywhere. Even under sun and even under the shade.There is heat present in atmosphere everywhere.The upper layer of water molecules one by one gets energy and evaporates. But, the only difference is that, under sun it gets more energy than that under shade, so, it evaporates faster under the sun.
