Ladder is kept at a distance of 5m from wall and it reaches window at height 12m. By pythagoras theorem, 5²+12²= (length of ladder)² 25 +144= (length of ladder)² 169=(length of ladder)² Taking square root on both sides. 13= length of ladder.
