Informal communication networks are an unofficial and informal system that is not approved by the company yet exists because of individual & social needs. Informal information is not official however can only be rumors or gossip. Often known as "grapevine" it is the informal communication chain in an organisation. A grapevine is set up & controlled by the people in the organisation and follows no specific rules or regulations . Information spreads very easily across grapevines and flows in all directions.
