The Large organizations where large no. of people work closely need a strong communication mode to ensure timely work. Apart from the official kinds of communications, many unofficial and informal channels of communication are created to meet the demands of organization. Use of new technology and digital communication which is cheap and effective is preferred. Let's take example of Whatsapp, which is not the official mode of communication of any organization but is used by most of the persons working in these organizations. The social networking sites like whatsapp, facebook. twitter etc. keep all the persons working in any organization connected even after the official working time.

The drawbacks of these communication channels are:

1. These are unofficial and informal.

2. The organization has no control over these channels and no one is accountable to anyone for any message, inappropriate if any, which can interfere into the policies of the organization .
