Answer: The distance of the moon from earth is 384000km

Explanation:

The laser that takes 1.28 seconds to reach the moon. So the time (t) is equal to 1.28s.

We know the speed of light is (3x10^8)m/s. Laser is also light so that it has same speed (v) that is (3x10^8)m/s.

We know distance is equal to speed x time

So the distance (d) of moon from earth is

Speed x time

=> d= v x t

=> d= (3x10^8) x 1.28

=> d= 374000km
