We know that Percentage Increase= ((Final Value-Initial Value)/Initial Value)x 100

In this case, Initial Value= 5.5 pounds( provided that the units does not have to be changed to kilograms)

Final Value= 8.8 pounds

Therefore, Percentage Increase= ((8.8-5.5)/5.5)x 100=(3.3/5.5)x 100= 0.6 x 100

= 60%

Therefore, there is a 60% increase in the weight of the puppy.
