first we have to find by how much the cost has been increased to find that we have to subtract

50 - 45 = 5 and now we are going to find the percentage

profit percentage = profit ÷cost price x 100

5 ÷ 45 x 100

11.111111

so the profit % = 11.111%

Given:-

  • Price of petrol in last was Rs.45 per litre.
  • New price of petrol affter increment is Rs 50 per litre.

To Find:-

  • Percentage increase in the of petrol?

solution:-

Let the percentage increase be x % . Find of all let's find out how much price of petrol increased??

  • To find this just subtract the initial price from current price.

➨ increased price = Rs. ( 50 - 40 )

Rs. 5

  • ( increase amount /original amount ) × 10

x = 5/45 × 100

⇛x = 1/9 × 100

⇛x = 100/9

x = 11.11 %
