Solution :

Let us assume that the right circular cylinder has a radius r, and a height h .

Now, it is given that the LSA of this cylinder is root 5 times the area of the base.

Area of the base of the cylinder :

>  pi r^2 h

Lateral Surface area :

> 2 pi r h

According to the given relation :

> 2 pi r h = root 5 * ( pi r^2 h )

pi r h gets cancelled from both sides ;

> 2 = root 5 * ( r )

So,

Radii = 2/root 5 .

Substituting the value of the radius, we get the height of the cone as 1 .

Required ratio becomes :

> 2/root 5 : 1

> 2 : root 5

This is the answer.
