lattice energy of cao is greater than that of sodium fluoride why

Explanation:
We know that both compounds are ionic compounds.
In CaO, calcium loses 3 electrons to oxygen which creates strong intermolecular forces and it forms a lattice.
in NaF, sodium only loses 1 electron to fluorine so weaker forces of attraction are present in comparison to CaO.
So, naturally CaO will have greater lattice energy than NaF....
Hope ot helps!
