In the derivation, m= mass, g= acceleration due to gravity, v = velocity, T.E= total energy, K.E= kinetic energy, P.E= potential energy, s= distance covered
By the proof in the image, we can say that energy at every point is equal therefore it can neither be created nor be destroyed but can only be transferred from one form to another. As in the proof too, energy wasn't destroyed it was just converted from potential to kinetic etc.
