Law of Dominance :

The law states that when crossings between organisms are occur for contrasting traits, only one character of the pair expresses itself in the F1 generation. The character that expresses itself is called dominant and the character that does not express itself is called recessive.

Law of Segregation :

The law states that genes stay together and segregate at the time of gamut formation. This means that the mixing of genes in the form of hybrids does not occur. This is also referred to as the law of purity of gametes.
