force is said to bring some change of state of rest or of motion of a body.
newton proposed 3 laws of motion.
the law of inertia
law of linear momentum
every action has an equal and opposite reaction..

Newton’s 1st Law of Motion:

Every object persists in it state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state  by force impressed on it.

Examples:

1)      If you kicked a ball in space, it would keep going forever, because there is no gravity, friction or air resistance against it. It will only stop going in one direction if it hits something like a meteorite or reaches a gravity field of another planet

2)      If you are driving in your car at a very high speed and hit something, like a tree, the car will come to an instant stop, but you will keep moving forward. This is why cars have air bags to protect you.

Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion:

Force is equal to the change in momentum (mV) per change in time. For a instant mass time acceleration , F=ma

Examples:

1)      If you use same force to push a car and push a truck, the car will have more acceleration than the truck, because car has less mass.

2)      It is easy to push an empty shopping cart than a full one, because the full shopping cart has more mass than empty one. This means more force is required to push the full shopping cart.

Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion:

For every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action

Example:

1)      When air rushes out of a balloon, the opposite reaction is that the balloon files up.
