The laws of reflection of light are:-
1. The angle of incident is equal to angle of reflection.
2. <i = <r

  • Explanation: The first law of refraction states that the incident ray, the refracted ray and the normal to the interface of two transparent media at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane. According to the second law of refraction, the ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction is constant for a given colour and for a given pair of media. This relationship was experimentally discovered by Snell in 1621 . Thus the second law of refraction is called the Snell's law of refraction.  This constant is called the refractive index of second medium with respect to first medium. We can see refraction in glass slab, and any other transparent surfaces. But: the surface must be transparent.  Image forms through black page also, but less clarity.
