Answer:

Explanation:

thermodynamics is based on four law which are generalization of experimental observations and experiences gathered. They are

  1. Zeroth law of thermodynamics
  2. First law of thermodynamics
  3. Second law of thermodynamics
  4. third law of thermodynamics
  • Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics:

Consider three system A,B and C system A and B are in thermal contact. Now systems are given time to come thermal equilibrium of each pair. So A is  in thermal equilibrium with B and B is with C . Removing A and C and bridging them in thermal contact of each other shows no change in properties of A and C with time.

Therefore A and C are in thermal equilibrium each other. This is Zeroth law of thermodynamics.

  • First Law of Thermodynamics:(Different statement)
  1. Energy of an isolated system is constant
  2. Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. Only one form of energy is converted to another form in equal amount
  3. If same amount of energy disappears from somewhere, it will reappear in equal amount else where
  4. Sum of total energy of universe is constant.
  • Second Law of thermodynamics:

Entropy is an isolated system that is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time until it reaches a maximum equilibrium level.

  • Third Law of Thermodynamics:

The Third Law of Thermodynamics states that a perfect crystal at zero Kelvin (absolute zero) has zero entropy.
