hi
let hcf be x
then lcm = 14x
The sum of LCM and HCF is 600
hcf + lcm = 600
x +14x = 600
15x = 600
x = 600/15
x = 40
hence hcf is 40
now lcm = 14x
= 40 *14
= 560
one no. Is 128 , find other.
so lets recall a property
hcf *lcm = product of 2 no.
560* 40 = 128 * other no.
other no. = 560 *40/128
other no . = 175
hope it helps u

Heya !!!
Let the HCF of two numbers be X.
LCM = 14 × X = 14X
According to question,
LCM + HCF = 600
14X + X = 600
15X = 600
X = 600/15
X = 40
LCM of two numbers = 14X = 14 × 40 = 560
And,
HCF of two numbers = X = 40
One Number = 128
We know that,
One Number × Other Number = HCF × LCM
128 × Other Number = 40 × 560
Other Number = 40 × 560/128
Other Number = 175
Hence,
Other Number is 175.
