According to people leaders are chosen because of the characteristics that they possess. This is the reason why people vote for them and they become leaders. Other people also want to excel in life and become leaders.

So they try to take these leaders as role models and try to shape their lives according to that of the leaders. A role model is considered to be a person who is looked upon by others to imitate. So people feel that the leaders can be imitated and if they do this maybe they will also be chosen as leaders.
