Kepler's three laws:-

First law :- the path of planets about the sun is in elliptical shape with the centre of the sun being located at one focus.

Second law:- an imaginary line drawn from the centre of sun to the centre of planet will sweep out equal area in equal interval of time. This is also called as the law of equal area.

Third law:- the ratio of squares of the periods of any two planets is equal to the ratio of cubes of their average distance is from the Sun.

For a uniform circular orbit of radius r, the acceleration is

a = ω²r, ω = 2π/T

where T is the orbital period.

T² ∝ r³

Thus, we conclude that the gravitational acceleration is proportional to the inverse square of distance r

a ∝ r−²

Hope it helps!!
