Given : Leela starts from a point and walks 1 km east and then turns left and walks 2 km and turns right and walks 2 km again. she starts towards a point 2 km towards her right, from where again she walks 1 km left.

To find :  how far is she from the starting point?

Solution:

          North

West                East

           South

                                                      _    _   2 km  _  _

                                                      |                           |

                                                   2 km                      2 km

                                                       |                           |

       Start  ............1 km ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,                              _   1 km  --   Final

Walked 1 km East

Turn left => North    Walked  2 km North

Turn Right => East     Walked 2 km East

Toward Right => South  , Walked 2 km South = Walked - 2 km North

Turned Left  => East   Walked 1 km East

East  =  1  + 2  +  1  = 4 km

North = 2 - 2  =  0

 Hence She is 4 km East from Starting point
