Given,

There are two parents, two siblings, 13 relatives and 10 friends.

Gift A price = Rs. 10

Gift B price = Rs. 8

Total money = Rs. 230

To find,

The number of each gifts that she can buy.

Solution,

First of all, we have to keep in mind that each person gets one gift, so the total number of the persons will the the total number of purchased gifts.

Total gifts = 2+2+13+10 = 27

Let, the number of gift A = x

(Assume x as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.)

Number of gift B = 27-x

Total cost of gift A = (x×10) = Rs. 10x

Total cost of gift B = 8×(27-x) = Rs. 216-8x

Total cost of the total gifts = (10x + 216 - 8x) = Rs. (216+2x)

According to the data mentioned in the question,

216+2x =230

2x = 14

x = 7

Gift A number = 7

Gift B number = 27-7 = 20

Hence, the number of gift A is 7 and number of gift B is 20.
