Lenght of a room is 3times its breadth and height is 4.6m. If the total cost of carpenting the floor of a room at rate of rs.60per square meter is rs4500.find the total cost of papering the walls at the rate of rs6.

And length = 3x

ATQ,

The total cost of carpenting the floor of a room at rate of rs.60per square meter is Rs4500

So we can write it as,

= x + 3x = \displaystyle\frac {4500}{60}

= 4x = 75

= x = \displaystyle\frac {75}{4}

= x = 18.75m

Breadth = 18.75

Length = 3 × 18.75 = 56.25
