let the length and breadth ratio is 5x and 3x.
then perimeter is equal to sum of all sides.
2(l+b)
2(5x+3x) = 840
2(8x) = 840
16x = 840
x = 840÷16
x then put value of x in 5 X and 3x.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The side of a rectangle are in the ratio 5 ratio 3. If its area is 135 CM square, find the perimeter of the rectangle.

To find:

the perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution:

Let the side be 5x and 3x respectively.

Area of rectangle = l+b

➙5x×3x = 135

➙15x² = 135

➙x² = 9

➙x = 9

Therefore,first side = 5x => 5×9 => 45 cm

Second side = 3x => 3×9 => 27 cm

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

➙2(27+45)

➙2×72

➙144cm
