length and breadth = 5/3

therefore , length= 5x , breadth= 3x

perimeter of the rectangle= 32m

=> length + breadth= perimeter

=> 5x + 3x = 32

=> 8x = 32

=> x = 32/8

=> x = 4

therefore length = 5x = 5 * 4 = 20

breadth = 3x = 3 * 4 = 12

Area = length * bredth

=> area = 20 *  12

=> area = 240 square metres.
