Let breadth be x

Let length be 3x

A.T.Q

Perimeter of a rectangle= 2 × ( l + b )

40 cm = 2 × ( 3x + x )

40 cm = 2 × 4x

40 cm = 8x

8x = 40 cm

x =  \frac{40cm}{8}  \\ x = 5cm

So, breadth = 5cm

Length = 5 cm× 3

= 15 cm
