Length of pole is 5 and half metres which is 5.5 metres or 11/2

Thus, portion painted in blue is

11/2 - (11/2 * 1/3) - (11/2 * 1/4)

= 11/2 - 11/6 - 11/8

= (264 - 88 -66) /48

= 110/48

= 55 /24
