let the length of rectangle is l and breadth = b
given , l = b + 4 ----------(1)
given perimeter 2( l + b ) = 84 cm
2 ( b + 4 + b ) = 84
2 ( 2b + 4 ) = 84
4b + 8 = 84
4b = 84 - 8
4b = 76
b = 19 cm
put value of " b" in (1), we get
l = 19 + 4 = 23 cm
hence the length and breadth of rectangle are
l = 23 cm , and b = 19 cm
