Answer:

let the breadth be x

length =x+6

ATQ, 2(x+x+6)=64

2x+6=64/2

2x=32-6

x=13

Answer :-

Length of the recatangle is 19 m and

breadth of the rectangle is 13 m.

Solution :-

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x

Length of the rectangle = exceeds breadth by 6 m = (x + 6)

Given

Perimeter of the rectangle = 64 m

⇒ 2(Length + Breadth) = 64

⇒ 2(x + x + 6) = 64

⇒ 2(2x + 6) = 64

⇒ 2x + 6 = 64/2

⇒ 2x + 6 = 32

⇒ 2x = 32 - 6

⇒ 2x = 26

⇒ x = 26/2

⇒ x = 13

Breadth = x = 13 m

Length = (x + 6) = (13 + 6) = 19 m

Therefore length of the recatangle is 19 m and breadth of the rectangle is 13 m.
