Answer:

Let breadth be 'b'.

Then, length = 2b - 16

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

=> 2 ( 2b - 16 + b) = 100

=> 3b - 16 = 50

=> b  = 22

Length = 2*22 - 16 = 28

Answer- Length = 28cm,  Breadth = 22cm

Answer :-

  • Breadth of Rectangle = x = 22 m.

  • Length of Rectangle = 2x - 16 = 28 m.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Length of a rectangle is 16 cm less than twice its breadth.

  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 100 cm.

To Find :

  • Length and Breadth.

Solution :

Let Breadth be x.

And, Length will be 2x - 16.

We know that,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b).

➙ 2(2x - 16 + x) = 100.

➙ 2(3x - 16) = 100.

➙ 6x - 32 = 100.

➙ 6x = 100 + 32.

➙ 6x = 132.

➙ x = 22.

Therefore,

  • Breadth of Rectangle = x = 22 m.
  • Length of Rectangle = 2x - 16 = 28 m.
