Let breadth be 'b'

Length = 2b - 16

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

100 = 2( 2b - 16 + b )

50 = 3b - 16

3b = 66

b = 22

Breadth is 22 cm

Length is 2(22)-16 = 28 cm

Let the breath be x. Then length is 2x-16. So if we find perimeter,  2(x) + 2(2x-16)=100. 2x + 4x - 32=100. Both sides add 32. so 2x + 4x=132. 6x=132 then x=22(breath). Length= 2(22) - 16 =28.
