Answer:

The formula for the perimeter P of a rectangle is:

P = 2l + 2w, where l is the length of the rectangle and w is its breadth or width.

Since we're given that the length and width of the given rectangle are 4 cm and 3 cm, respectively, then we can substitute into the formula for the perimeter P of a rectangle, and calculate the perimeter as follows:

P = 2l + 2w

= 2(4 cm) + 2(3 cm)

= 8 cm + 6 cm

= 14 cm is the perimeter of the given rectangle.

Given : length of rectangle = (3x+4)cm

Breadth of rectangle=( x-5)cm

To find: area of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle

Solution:

Perimeter is outlined path all around of any shapes of object while area is inside portion or space which any object occupies.

We know Perimeter of rectangle =2×(l+b)

= 2×(3x+4+x-5)

=2(4x-1)cm

(Solving brackets by Multiplying inside)

Perimeter of rectangle = 8x-2 cm

Formula for area of rectangle =length× breadth

=(3x+4)×(x-5)

= 3x²-15x +4x -20

=3x²-11x -20 cm²

Answer: Perimeter of rectangle is =8x-2 cm

Area of rectangle = 3x²-11x-20 cm².
