RECTANGLE:-

Length = l

Breadth = b

Length of a rectangle is 3 times its width (breadth)

∴ l = 3b                     →1

Perimeter = 96m

     2 (l+b) = 96

 2(3b + b) = 96                         [From 1]

        2(4b) = 96

            4b = 96 ÷ 2

              b = 48 ÷ 4

b = 12m

Sub. in 1

l = 3b

 = 3 × 12

l = 36m

∴The length of the rectangle is 32m and the breadth is 12m.
