Let , Breadth Be X

According To the Question

Lengh = 2 + 2X

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth) = 34

2 ( 2 + 2X + X ) = 34

2 (2 + 3X) = 34

4 + 6X = 34

6X = 34 - 4

X = 30 / 6

X = 5

Hence , Length of rectangle is 5 and breadth of rectangle is 2 + 2 × 5 or 12

Let the length of the rectangle be 'x' cm

and breadth be 'y' cm respectively.

A/Q,

=> x(length) = (2y + 2) cm ---> (1)

Now,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 34 = 2(x+y)

Putting the value of'x'

=> 34 = 2(2y + 2 + y)

=> 34 = 2(3y + 2)

=> 34 = 6y + 4

=> 30 = 6y

=> y = 5 cm

Now, putting the value of 'y' in equation (1) we get

=> x = 2y + 2

=> x = 2(5) + 2

=> x = 12 cm

Hence,

Length = 12 cm

Breadth = 5cm
