Answer:

190 cm

Explanation:

if one side is x then the other side will be 2x

area of rectangle = l*b

(2x+5)(x) =1950

2x^2 + 5x -  1950=0

therefore

x= 30

2x+5 = 65

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 190

Length of rectangle is 5 cm more than twice of its breath if area of rectangle is 1950 sq.cm then the perimeter of rectangle 190 cm.

  • The given condition is: length (l) = 2 * breadth (b) + 5
  • Also, area of a rectangle (l * b) = 1950
  • So, Putting the value of l in the second equation, we get:
  • 2b^2 + 5b - 1950 = 0
  • Solving for b we get, b = 30 cm. ( we can use Shreedhar Acharya)
  • So, l = 1950 / 30 = 65 cm.
  • Finally the perimeter (P) = 2 * (l + b) = 190 cm.
