The dimensions of rectangle would be 14 m and 5 m resp.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Let the side of square be 'x'

Let the length of rectangular garden be 2x

Let the breadth of rectangular garden be x-2

So, Area  of rectangle is less than the area of square,

So, it becomes,

Area of rectangle - Area of square = 21

2x(x-2)-x^2=21\\\\2x^2-4x-x^2=21\\\\x^2-4x-21=0\\\\x^2-7x+3x-21=0\\\\x(x-7)+3(x-7)=0\\\\(x-7)(x+3)=0\\\\x=-3,7

So, the length of side of square = 7 m

Length of rectangle = 2\times 7=14\ m

Breadth of rectangle = x-2=7-2=5\ m

Hence, the dimensions of rectangle would be 14 m and 5 m resp.
