Take the breadth as x, so length becomes x + 4.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

84 = 2 ( x + x + 4 )

42 = 2x + 4

38 = 2x

x = 19

perimeter = 2(l+b)

2(x+4+x)=84

2(2x+4)=84

4x+8=84

4x=84-8

4x=76

x=76/4

x=19cm

length = 23cm

breadth = 19cm
