area of the field =22801m^2

side=a

Area=a^2

a^2=22801

a=

  \sqrt{22801}

square root of 22801

a=151

side=151m

the side of field =151m

Answer :-

Given :-

Area of the square field is 22801 meter²

Required to find :-

  • Length of the square field ?

Formula used :-

\large{\underline{\boxed{\mathsf{Area \; of \; a \; square = side \;\times side }}}}

\rule{400}{4}

Solution :-

In the question it is given that ,

A square field possess 22801 m² of area .

He asked us to find the side of the square field .

So,

Let consider that ,

Side of the square be " x " Meters .

From the above ,

we came to know that ;

Area of the square = side x side

So,

Here we taken the side as X m

Hence,

Substitute the required values ;

\mathrm{22801 = x \;\;m \times x \;\; m}

So, as we know that,

x multipled with x is x²

So,

22801 m² = x² m²

m² will get cancelled on both sides

Hence,

22801 = x²

Now transpose the L.H.S. terms to R.H.S. and vice-versa .

x² = 22801

Here, transpose power 2 to the right side it becomes square root .

So,

\tt{ x = \sqrt{22801}}

we know that ,

+ 151 x +151 = 22801

similarly,

-151 x -151 = 22801

\tt{ x = + 151 \;or\; - 151}

As the value of the length of the square can't be in negative and hence, + 151 is the required value .

Therefore,

Side of the square is 151 meters .

points to remember :-

1. The square root of any given perfect square can be both positive and negative .

2. perimeter of a square = 4 x side

3. Above we taken the value is side as x meters because in a square all sides are equal . So, length of every side is equal .

4. So, depending on the properties of the geometrical figure we should solve the question .

5. Area of a square = side x side
