The object is u = 6cm away from a convex lens of focal length f = 2 cm. The image position can be found from the lens equation 1 6 + 1 v = 1 2 , ∴ 1 v = 1 2 − 1 6 = 3 6 − 1 6 = 1 3 .

Principal Axis Concave Lens

Where, v = Distance of image from optical centre of lens

u = Distance of object from optical centre of lens

and f = Focal length of lens
