\underline {\blue{ Complementary \:events :}}

Consider an event has few outcomes.

Event of all other outcomes in the sample survey which are not in the favourable event is called complementary event.

 \pink { For \: any \: E , P(E) + P(\overline {E} )} = \underline { \green { 1}  }

 Where , \overline { E } \:stands \: for \: "not \:E " ,\\ E \: and \: \overline { E } \: are \: called \\ complementary \: events .

 \red { P(E) + P( not \:E ) } \green { = 1 }
