One day my friend, Suresh and I sat on the terrace of our building. We were chatting as usual. Suresh is very fond of adventure stories. He reads a lot of them. He told me about one of the stories he had read and we joked that it would be fun if we also had an adventure. We said that just for fun. But somehow it came true and our adventure started almost immediately.
A big gas balloon landed close to us. There was no one in it. We went near it and had a look at it. It looked very attractive. We knew that people go for fun rides in gas balloons. But this balloon had landed on its own. There was nobody inside it. After seeing it from outside we carefully stepped inside the balloon.
We started playing inside it. Suddenly it started rising. Before we could realize what was happening, we were flying in the sky. We were shocked and scared in the beginning. But when it flew over the bazaars and we saw the beautiful sights we started enjoying it.
Few birds flew past us. Kites were also flying in the sky. We could even catch a few kites and keep them for ourselves. But all of a sudden the air in the balloon reduced and the balloon started coming down. We landed on an elephant who was waiting to take people for a ride in a fair. The people who were standing in the queue came running to see us. They could not believe that a gas balloon with two passengers was resting on the back of an elephant. Quickly they started taking pictures and laughed.
In the fair there was a group dance. Our balloon went and landed in the center of the circle of dancers. They were frightened and they shrieked. The audience thought that it was a planned feat that so they clapped and clapped. After that we got down from the balloon and many people rushed forward to take autographs from us.
Quickly Suresh and I ran home. When we reached our house we stopped and laughed loudly and said, "We surely had a great adventure".
