“CLEAN INDIA;

GREEN INDIA SHOULD BE

OUR DREAM INDIA”

“Cleanliness is Godliness” is the mantra of Mahatma Gandhiji, Father of Nation. He demonstrated, propagated and insisted for individual and community cleanliness throughout his life.

Cleanliness is a clean habit which is very necessary to all of us. Cleanliness is a habit of keeping ourselves physically and mentally clean including with our home, pet animals, surroundings, environment, pond, river, schools, etc. We should keep ourselves neat, clean and well-dressed all time. It helps in making a good personality and impression in the society as it reflects a clean character. We should maintain the environment and natural resources (water, food, land, etc) cleanliness together with our body cleanliness in order to make the possibility of life existence forever on the earth.

Mahatma Gandhi had a revolutionary vision about making India clean. Swachhata Mission is integrated with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan towards realizing this laudable vision. To fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic India. Shri Narendra Modi himself initiated the cleanliness drive. Picking up the broom to clean the dirt, making Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a mass movement across the nation, the Prime Minister said people should neither litter, nor let others litter. He gave the mantra of ‘Na gandagi karenge, Na karne denge’.

One step forward, with this vision; Narayan Seva Sansthan organized a Cleanliness Drive. The Sansthan officials motivated the locals to ensure safe and hygienic disposal of waste.

Cleanliness makes us healthy in every aspect like mental, physical, social and intellectual. Generally, we all noticing in our homes that our grandmothers and moms are very strict about the cleanliness before worship, it is not another thing, they just try to make cleanliness our habit. But they follow wrong way as they never describe us the benefits and purpose of cleanliness that’s why we get problem in following cleanliness. Every parent should logically describe and discuss their kids about the benefits, purpose, necessity, etc of the cleanliness. They must tell us that cleanliness is the first and foremost thing in our lives like food and water.

There are many benefits towards a clean environment like saving endangered species, clean air, less hazards, more sources of food such as fish, and much more that are too many for this list. By having a clean environment, we can have a more steady supply of food, water, and many natural resources like wood in order to create important products. Making India green is a dream of all the citizens. Clean India Green India should be our dream India. The combination of clean India and green India makes the perfect and developing moment of India. Making the India clean and green also helps in reducing the Global Warming. The Clean India and green India have various effects on the development of India.

The Clean India Green India slogan states that if we try to keep our India clean it will become green by cleaning our environment and surroundings then only we all will be able to get a good surrounding of greenery like trees, grass and various small plants and many more. With this Clean India Green India mission we mainly focus on to stop the deforestation and increase the number of trees in India to decrease the pollution as the trees help in reducing the pollution. We must increase the natural environment by reducing the process of cutting trees, that is, by promoting lesser use of raw material from the forest and increasing the number of trees by growing small plants if we want to bring a change in our country. “Cleanliness is Godliness” is the mantra of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Nation. The Swachhata Mission is integrated with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan towards realizing his vision. India’s current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi initiated the cleanliness drive to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic India. He gave the mantra of ‘Na gandagi karenge, Na karne denge’. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) or Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a nation-wide campaign in India for the period 2014 to 2019 that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, towns, and rural areas. The greenery in India has a major importance as it helps in the development of the nation and also reducing the pollution in the air and also reduces the disasters in the nation. The forest cover helps in maintaining the ecological balance of the nation. The government also plays an important role in keeping India clean and green. It must act strictly and take measures to prevent India. There should be a ban on fossil fuels. The government must create forest belt near every city or town. By not cutting tree, we can easily increase greenery which further avoids desertification. It reduces air pollution and leads to cleaner and purer air. In addition to minimizing Global Warming, it also increases content in oxygen in environment. The Clean India Movement is launched by the government employed. The government began sanctioning loans to support the purpose of building toilets. In addition to that, they also subsidised the cost of the required materials and connected the borrowers to contractors so that they could finish the process. Not only this, but the Indian government has altered its economic and energy policies to become more environmentally responsible. Renewable energy sources are being subsidised while small hydropower projects are being undertaken to power rural areas. Recently, some state governments took charge of the war on climate change and banned the sale of firecrackers in the face of Diwali. We as humans can take care of few basic steps like carrying a recycle bag when we go out of our house and not throw garbage here and there. This will reduce consumption of disposable bags. Similarly we can encourage the use of reusable bottles, cups etc. Also, do your best to ensure that the waste you dispose of ends up where it should. Recycle the materials that are recyclable in your area and make sure to reduce the likelihood of your garbage ending up in the environment by keeping a lid on your trash can when it’s outside. Compost. Composting at home reduces the volume of garbage sent to landfills and reduces the chance of some products becoming marine debris. If environment is not clean, humans can never be healthy. As individuals we have the potential to make a big difference and together we can change the world. Once our India becomes cleaner and greener, it will be beneficial not only for us but for our future generations too. We and the coming generation will be able to live in a purer and healthier environment. This will be our best gift to them as well as us. Let’s aim for a better, cleaner and greener India and work together to achieve it.
