Solve-are(ABC)/are(DEF)=(AB)^2/(DE)^2
100/196=AB^2/7^2
10/14=AB/7
70=14AB
AB=70/14
AB=5

Answer:

The answer is 5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of ABC/ Area of DEF = AB*AB /DE*DE

100/196 = x*x /7*7

100/196 = X2 /49

x2 = 100*7/196

x2 = 25cm

x = 5cm

So AB = 5cm
