B - C = B - (B ∩C)

B ∩ C ={2,4,6,8} ∩ {3,4,5,6}

      ={4,6}

B  - C = B - (B ∩ C)

        ={2,4,6,8} - {4,6}

       ={2,8}

(B - C)' = U -(B - C)

       = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} -  {2,8}

    = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9}

hope its helpfull

Solution :

Given U = { 2,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 }

B = { 2,4,6,8 },

C = { 3,4,5,6 }

i ) B-C ={x:x€B and x doesn't belongs to C}

= { 2,4,6,8 } - { 3,4,5,6 }

= { 2 , 8 }

ii ) ( B - C )'

= U - ( B - C )

= { 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 } - { 2, 8 }

= { 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9}
