Sub: Deteriorating Safety and Security
in Our Area.
Sir
I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern
over the increasing insecurity in our locality, Model Town Extension, and the
police’s lackadaisical approach to the gravity of the situation. Yesterday a
heinous crime was committed on an old couple living alone in our colony. The unscrupulous
miscreants broke into the house and robbed the wretched couple at gunpoint. What
is lamentable is the fact that the robbers beat them mercilessly after tying
and gagging them.
The old couple was miserably terrified. Through the channels
of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the
matter and take prompt action in providing safety measures to not only our
colony but throughout the city. It is highly regrettable that the law and order
along with the morals of people have been deteriorated to such an extent that
even the elderly are not safe. Kindly give enough space to my views in your esteemed
daily.
