Subject: Water Crisis due to the scarcity of drinking water supply.

Sir,

In spite of lodging several complaints with the Public Health Department no result is upcoming. The people are facing much hardship. They are upset with the callous attitude of the department which did not inform the cause of the break down of the water supply.

People are compelled to buy water at exorbitant price from those taking advantage of the situation and selling water from water tanker vehicles. The water scarcity is now in a severe drought like condition. The situation is grim. If uninterrupted supply of water is not normalised at the earliest, an emergency have to be declared. Since the dry spell of winter will last about 3 more months, the government and disaster management must be prepared to seek assistance from neighbouring states to provide water to the populace in case normal water supply is not restored within a few days.

Yours sincerely,

MEENAKSHI
