Subject: Scarcity and irregular supply of water

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality.

For the last three weeks the water supply has been very irregular. Due to shortage of water the residents are having a hard time to meet their basic needs. Some people are being compelled to buy water at extremely high rates brought from other places. The residents have written to the concerned department and authorities. But still the situation has not changed.

Therefore, I earnestly request the PHE and the authorities to look into the matter and restore regular supply of water immediately since the people of this locality are facing so much hardship.

Yours sincerely,
