Dear sir,
I'm a regular reader of your esteemed newspaper and i really believe that this is one of the best way to spread awareness. As we know, education is the most important, priceless and timeless element one can learn in his lifetime. Education can be gained by studying as we all follow, studying doesn't only mean to hold on a book and sit near it, but it means to observe and experience the different things across the whole world! Everyone has dreams, has a aim, a goal. And in order to achieve it, they work hard. They gain education to establish their future successfully. But some of the students study due to the force of their parents. Some study because their parents might have job uncertainty. Therefore, studies are an important part of our life. The one who takes them as burden can never get to know the fun, the enjoyment. But in this modern generation, children are made to concentrate on their future more than enjoying their childhood. They're made to forget the hangouts, the fun, the enjoyment they can have with their peers. They're made to forget about tourism. We've a busy schedule with studies of more than our sleeping time. But we never think about the physical exercise we must do. Studies are important but to notice tourism is necessary as well. Students must have a proper time management. Education along with tourism creates a perfect combination. Studying all the time without a break, will surely lead to hypertension. Thus, tourism is important. It refreshes our mind, so that studies won't turn to depression for the future of the generation who're the students, who can change the scenario!

At last, I would like to say, EDUCATION AND TOURISM MOVE HAND IN HAND ! And people need to be awared about it.

Hence, I'd like to request you to highlight this issue and its solution in the pages of your newspaper so that more initiatives can be taken.

Yours sincerely,

The Editor in Chief,

The Times of India,

New Delhi.

Subject: Some ways to improve tourism in India.

India is an exotic country. It is a country where one can find or discover almost anything that the entire world can iffer. India is a land of beauty, myth, mystery and fascination. India is a country with immense tourism potential. It is already a favourite tourism spot but India still have a long way to go before making its impact felt in the world.

But the question is that the tourism industry in India is lagging far behind in comparison to other countries. How can we improve the tourism industry of our nation? The Government, entrepreneurs and communities must come together to utilise tourism potentials fully and benefits from it. We need to do several things to improve the potential and standing of tourism in the world.

India is a favourite spot for tourists for its historical heritage. Places of historical importance must be preserved from damage by nature like erosion or by man.

The traditional and cultural diversity of India is beautiful and attracts many tourists. We must do everything possible to promote our cultural diversity from South to North and West to East .

The hospitality and hotel industry is still not up to expectation and must be improved.

Transport system becomes a headache for tourists visiting India. This must be streamlined for easier access and comfort of visitors. There must be easy access to air, water and land transport. More airlines and tourist buses for places of tourist attraction is needed.

The study of foreign languages must be encouraged. People in the tourism industry need to communicate with tourists from countries who cannot speak Hindi. It is important to invest time in learning foreign languages to improve tourism in a long term basis.

India is a country which can be compared to a world of its own. Because it is a place where one can find all varieties of landscape from snow-capped mountains to deserts and climatic conditions. India must preserve the gifts of the natural beauty of forests, rivers, lakes, wildfife, etc

More academic courses on travel and tourism must be introduced in our educational system so that our youth will be equipped to utilise the tourism potential efficiently. This will reduce unemployment and boost the economy of the country.

The scope for tourism in India is vast. If we are sincere about utilising the potentials, it won't be long before we are at the top of the list of tourist attraction in the world.

Yours sincerely,

Abhijit
