SUBJECT: MISUSE OF TECHNOLOGY BY THE YOUTH
Sir/ Madam
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to share my views on the misuse of technology by the youth. I am a student at QPR school, I recently heard a debate about the misuse of technology by the youth. Today,s generation is getting technology at its disposal. The use of technology has made youngsters dependent on technology. Also, excessive use of technology affects one’s health. This may even lead to lethargy. Due to this children have stopped playing outdoor games which again affects their health. This also affects their eyesight. The children should learn the importance of playing outdoor games, reading books, using fewer mobile devices, etc. The parents should set a time limit for the usage of electronic devices for their children. For example, on weekdays the children should get one hour for watching tv and on weekends they may get an extra half an hour for that. The parents should give their children a phone only for work, the rest of the time the phone should be with them. The parents should buy their children some books and encourage them to read them. They should also take their children on treks so that they will start loving nature. They should also send their children to activities like cycling, swimming, etc. Their parents should also encourage their children to find their inner strength and they may send their children to some hobby activities. These are some solutions which will help them to come out of the world of technology and look at the simple but extraordinary world. I shall be highly grateful to you if my letter gets an appropriate space in your newspaper.
Yours truly
