An adjectivial phrase is a phrase whose first word is an adjective. It is easy to identify if you know the adjectives. An adverbal phrase has two or more words which modifies the verbs, adj, etc. In this sentence, "She sings very well". Very well is the adverbal phrase which modifies the word sing ( verb ). A noun phrase is a word or a group of words which has a noun and ( subject, object or prepositional object ). The examples are "The Car", "Her Bag", "His Book", etc.
