Letter to editor regarding insanitary conditions in your locality

Respected Sir,
I am a resident of XYZ colony and a patron of your newspaper HT. I would like to commend you on your efforts to present the news in a detailed and to-the- point manner. You have been taking up the issues relating to our city and your coverage have helped in solving many of those problems.

Therefore, I would like to draw your attention towards a problem affecting our locality in XYZ. Two months ago ,Municipality had started works for footpaths in our locality. So they have unearthed the drains in the process leaving many of them open/uncovered. It has created an unbearable stench in our locality.. The open drains are spilling out onto the roads creating a favourable place for mosquito breeding. It has attracted street dogs and pigs into our locality. These conditions are a health hazards for not only the immediate residents but for all the nearby localities in general. Repeated requests to the municipality has drawn no response. Rainy season is fast approaching and the situation will only deteriorate.

therefore, I would like to request you humbly to please cover the problems affecting our locality so as to draw the attention of the public in large towards our plights.
