Sub : Problem of garbage throwing on roads and its repercussions

Sir,

A recurring problem in life in Kolkata is the problem of garbage throwing on roads and its repercussions. I request you to allow me to register the above complain about my locality through your esteemed daily.

Garbages are lying in heaps in our locality for more than a week. The Municipal workers are found very much irregular and reluctant to remove the same regularly. As a result our suffering knows no bound. A foul smell comes out of the rotten garbage. Flies and mosquitoes have an easy breeding ground there. The whole locality is liable to be infected with dreadful diseases as cholera, malaria and dengue. I hope Government will take necessary steps for us.

Subject: To highlight the problem of improper garbage disposal

Sir,

This is to bring to your notice that garbages are being improperly disposed off in different places leading to several problems and should be stopped at the earliest.

People throw garbage on roads and all around in the open spaces and this blocks up the roads. It has become a breeding ground for mosquitos and other insects. Also, this creates an unhygienic environment making everyone susceptible to deadly diseases. The garbage collectors are irregular and often don't turn up. The municipality has also showed no concern.

I would be highly obliged if you kindly consider my words and highlight this issue in your newspaper so as to make the respective authorities aware and action be taken at the earliest.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully,

Latika Sharma.
